Adjei-Mensah Korsah furious over poor work on Mallam Market construction
The Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development, Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah has expressed discontent regarding the nature of the ongoing construction of the Mallam market and a Preschool facility in the Weija Gbawe municipality.
He mentioned that the supervision of the projects by the engineers has rather been disappointing.
He made this statement during a tour to inspect the construction of the market and the preschool, which was scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
However, speaking to Citi News, Adjei Mensah Korsah highlighted that no proper compacting was initiated before the laying of the bricks on the floor of the market and questioned the quality of the building materials used in constructing the pre-school.
“I’m sure you saw what has been done, why I was very upset, we think that this work should have been done by the end of this month. …The ground is in bad shape, there was no proper work, this is disappointing.
“I have rejected the project until it is refurbished. I have charged the MCE to look into the matter,” the Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development asserted.
