American rapper Meek Mill seeks Ghanaian citizenship, citing America’s treatment of Black individuals as a motivating factor. His love for Ghana has grown since his performance at the Afro Nation festival, and he aims to deepen his connection with the country.

American rapper Meek Mill has expressed a desire to obtain Ghanaian citizenship. In a recent post on X, he stated that he wants to settle in Ghana due to America’s perceived oppressiveness toward the growth of Black people.

Meek Mill’s interest in Ghana was further fueled by his performance at the Afro Nation music festival in December 2022. During his visit, he even had the opportunity to meet with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Jubilee House.

Despite courting some public outrage for filming parts of a music video at the seat of government, Meek Mill continues to express his love for Ghana and has indicated a desire to collaborate with Ghanaian artists.
