Bui Power crease solar capacity and wind energy exploration

In order to meet Ghana’s increasing need for electricity, the Bui Power Authority has renewed its commitment to using the nation’s plentiful sunshine to produce renewable energy.

Chief Executive Officer , Samuel Kofi Dzamesi recently emphasized the authority’s strategic goals to increase its solar capacity and investigate alternative energy sources during a visit to the 50MW solar power facility in Yendi.

First Sky Limited is building a 50MW solar power plant that will cost $59 million. The Bui Power Authority will repay the project after it is operational, which should happen in eight years.

The project is a component of the authority’s initiatives to give Ghanaians dependable power delivery.

In order to underscore the project’s importance, Dzamesi said, “So this is what we are doing. Currently, this endeavor is not limited to the sun. In addition, we are building structures to accommodate the laborers.
