Unlocking Longevity: Dr. Narh Reveals How Natural Foods and Regular Exercise Can Extend Your Life!
The Medical Superintendent of the Ada East District Hospital, Dr. Philip Narh has encouraged the public to exercise regularly in addition to taking fresh naturally prepared foods so as to be in the best health status as to live a very long life.
He noted that canned and fast foods are usually associated with some diseases. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), Dr. Narh continued that preservative and spices cause rise in Blood Pressure and that is why no tea, soup, or any other meal served in hospitals contains these ingredients.
He explained that taking food at odd hours especially at night has become the order of the day for many Ghanaians especially those in the civil service and other sectors who have considerate times at work and urged them to take small foods to sustain them till the next morning in a bid to reduce non communicable diseases.
“I try to incorporate physical activity into my every day routine and I do not consume canned foods; I cannot consume preserved or spiced foods because they are dangerous to my health,” he added.
He was worried that people neglect to take their doctor’s advice on how to prevent an illness and only pay attention when the sickness has almost taken its toll; and then continue their recklessness. The doctor urged the public to avoid unhealthy foods thereby pointing out that awareness of such a cause could dramatically reduce diseases and deaths.
